Chiefs sign wide receiver Kadarius Toney
With the NFL's trade deadline coming to a close at 4pm on Tuesday, the Chiefs made a move to acquire the Giant's 2021 first-round pick, Kadarius Toney in exchange for a third and sixth-round pick. Toney is known for his blazing speed and impressive route-running ability. Many fans are excited to see such a talent work with a quarterback such as Patrick Mahomes. In his short career with the Giants, Toney has 420 receiving yards, 41 receptions, and no touchdowns. In Week 2 of the season, while he played with the Giants, he injured his hamstring sidelining him for the next few weeks. He looks forward to playing on Sunday night when the Tennesse Titans come to town, most likely starting at Punt Returner.

Britt Reid, Andy Reid's son, receives a prison sentence.
Just days before the Chiefs played the Buccaneers in Superbowl LV, the former Chief's assistant coach and the son of Head Coach Andy Reid, Britt Reid, was driving while intoxicated and crashed into a car that left a five-year-old girl with a serious brain injury. Reid was traveling 84mph in a 65mph zone when his truck hit multiple cars on an entrance ramp to Interstate 435. The news shocked the NFL world, How could someone do such a bad thing? Fortunately, the girl survived and is doing better. She will have to face a lot of unnecessary challenges throughout life due to the injury to her developing brain.
Britt Reid pleaded guilty to DUI and serious bodily injury charges. Reid originally wanted a probation sentence but was instead handed the book and given three years of prison time. I think this story teaches me that no matter how powerful or rich you can be, everyone is subject to the same laws. I agree with the prison sentence and I hope Britt Reid will learn from his mistakes.
