The Kansas City Chiefs lose a tough game to the Buffalo Bills
24-20.
For the first time in his NFL career, Patrick Mahomes was an underdog at home with a spread of +3 for the Chiefs. This ended the longest-ever streak for a quarterback to be favored to win at home by oddsmakers, and unfortunately, they were right. Mahomes threw for 338 yards, two touchdowns, and two interceptions in a well-fought match against the Super Bowl favorite Buffalo Bills. Juju Smith-Schuster finally caught his first touchdown pass of the season with a thrilling 42-yard reception in the second quarter. The Chiefs and Bills were tied up multiple times throughout the game, with multiple stops by both defenses, many field goals, and two interceptions thrown by Mahomes. In the fourth quarter, Josh Allen led his Bills to their endzone with many brilliant passes to Stefon Diggs. Allen made the play of the game by hurdling over a Chiefs defender to pick up a Bills first down. The drive was capped off with a 14-yard touchdown pass to Dawson Knox. The Chiefs would receive the ball on their own 25-yard line with 56 seconds left to go in the game, but Patrick Mahomes threw an interception sealing the win for the Bills. The Chiefs travel to San Francisco next week to play their Super Bowl LIV opponent, the 49ers.

How do the Chiefs look through six weeks?
It feels like just yesterday we were watching the Chiefs from our homes light up the Arizona Cardinals to give us a glimpse into the season ahead. With six games down in the season and eleven more to play, it's time to evaluate the Chief's performance up to this point on all three sides of the ball. Our offense has lived up to the hype, with the departure of the Chief's most explosive weapon, Tyreek Hill, we have given ourselves a new identity. Mahomes has utilized his two new wide receivers, Juju Smith-Schuster and Marquez Valdez-Scantling to their utmost potential. Travis Kelce continues to torment defenses and is making his case for a spot in the hall of fame. Our run game could use some work, but we have seen bursts from Clyde Edwards-Helaire at times and surprisingly our 6th-round pick in Isaiah Pacheco. Our defense could use some work, we have allowed 20+ points in every game this season but Willie Gay one of our best defensive players returns off of his previous four-game suspension and is preparing to suit up against the 49ers. I am optimistic about our defense and hopefully, they will continue to provide more turnovers. Our special teams have been solid, after a terrible Week 3 in Indianapolis, we seemed to have fixed the turnover issues and Harrison Butker has finally made his way back off of the Injured Reserve. Overall, our team is still one of the best in the league, and although our record on paper may not reflect that yet, just wait until mid-season to see the typical Chiefs we all have been accustomed to throughout the years.

Travis Kelce, one of the Chief's best players.
